To improve our community through eco-friendly building practices and make the world a better place for our children.
To offer solutions, based on our building expertise and passion for sustainability, for a healthier and more comfortable living environment.

LA Green Building was founded to help build a more sustainable world.  Our goal is to empower as many people as possible to become active participants in creating a better environment.
Our custom solutions to saving water & energy translate into a reduced carbon footprint, lower utility bills and better indoor air quality, while significantly minimizing the potential for allergies and respiratory problems.

There is some speculation that our current economic crisis is a direct result of irresponsible energy management. That we are using energy and water at an un-sustainable rate is undeniable.
In order to preserve not only the environment, but our prosperity and security as well, we must reduce our personal consumption!
As the population continues to increase, and pollution with it, we need to be more conscious and proactive than ever about our responsibilities.

Often construction projects lack coordination. Subcontractors act individually with limited knowledge of what the other trades are doing. The result can be a house that’s wasteful and uncomfortable.
A house works as a system, and building science teaches us how the different parts are interrelated.
: Air leaks in a building not only waste energy, but also open the door to moisture intrusion, and adversely effect indoor air quality.
David Johnston says, in his book Green From the Ground Up , “Controlling the movement of heat, air, and moisture involves every part of the building and everyone on the building team”

Net zero houses take sustainability to a whole new level. If a house or building produces as much energy as it uses on an annual basis, it has then achieved net zero. Such structure is typically connected to the grid. Most utility companies offer net metering and will buy electricity from you when the meter turns backwards. This will lower utility bills, or even create a positive cash flow. It is a win for the homeowner and for the planet at the same time.

In order to preserve nature, we need to adapt!
